"The Breakdown" is the follow up to B.A. Paris' wonderful debut novel "Behind Closed Doors" as with her first novel this is a psychological thriller revolving around a murder of a young girl. The novel follows Cass, who's recently acquainted friend was just murdered near her home. With no clear suspect Cass is scared the murderer is still out there and may be coming for her. Is it delusion or is someone really after her. Cass had driven by the young girl before she was murdered but was too scared to get out of her car during the thunderstorm she kept driving. Personally I loved this book, I am unsure if I enjoyed this more than her first novel. They are vastly different but still on the same path genre wise. I enjoyed this one probably little bit more as the plot had more twist than her first novel. Overall its a fast paced thrilling read that is enjoyable over a slow weekend! I am looking forward to picking up her next book "Bring Me Back" which is out now!
